breaking rules
"Breaking rules and setting trends" is the motto of Hanse and the 418 most certainly lives up to this promise. With large hull windows offering great views over the water, a glass companion way with complementing glass skylights at either side, the light inside the 418 is breathtaking. The interior is also laid out to maximise the living space within.
your choice
The interior layout is available in a 2 or 3 cabin version, the 2 cabin version allows for a larger cockpit locker and extended galley. The Owners cabin has the available option of a second heads which is fitted as an ensuite.
The Hanse 418 has re-defined what can be expected from a 40' sailing yacht. A spacious and well thought out interior welcomes the light in through its large hull windows and vast glass skylights, in the evenings the fully controllable lighting sets the evening tone to your taste.
The quality of construction and design is evident from the moment you lay your eyes on any Hanse and the 418 does not disappoint. The sleek uninterrupted lines of the deck and the configuration of the cockpit immediately show that Hanse are designed by sailors with a great eye for detail. When you step down below the low-gradient steps are more like stairs making your entrance into the saloon very easy. The spacious saloon can happily seat six adults around the table without squeezing and hitting elbows, providing views across the water through the large port windows.
The Hanse 418 is a very easy boat to handle when out on the water especially when short-handed, with its single line reefing system (or optional in-mast furling) and self-tacking jib, sailing up the river is a breeze. When in the marina the ease-of handling continues especially when accompanied with the retractable bow-thruster.
space to relax
The large cockpit allows for a very enjoyable experience for the helmsman, crew and passengers alike. Loved ones can happily relax in the cockpit without being disturbed or restricting the ability of the helmsman's sailing.
living in comfort
The forward "owners cabin" island berth allows for a more dignified entrance and exit to the bunk, with ample floor space to be able to get changed and move freely without issue. It feels as spacious as your bed at home. (The island berth is reduced slightly when the 2nd head is selected).
