The new Hanse 388 opens up an exciting world of opportunities. The powerful rig combined with the fast hull design from Judel/Vrolijk & co ensures you have sailing pleasure in any conditions. The clear cockpit and deck offer plenty of space for relaxation on two levels.
Space & Light
The intelligent use of space and light throughout the Hanse 388 has to be seen to be believed. Using tempered glass port lights, along with the sleek deck lines, the use of glass delivers a huge amount of daylight inside even on an overcast day. Large port lights in the hull also allow a great view over the anchorage whilst sat in the saloon.

The Hanse 388 offers a lot for a 38 foot yacht. With a large rig and sail area coupled with the long waterline, the cruising performance sets the Hanse 388 apart from the rest. A spacious cockpit ensures that there is plenty of room for relaxing when at anchor or even when under sail. Large port lights in the hull and large deck hatches mean the interior is bathed in light which complements the space. Indirect subtle lighting provides a cosy atmosphere when required, or turn up the dimmer on the direct lighting when better visibility is required.
Available in a 2 cabin version with a large cockpit locker and extended galley or alternatively 3 cabins, either layout is available with a lowering chart table to create a single berth on the port side of the saloon and a double conversion on starboard for when you wish to take friends and family on your adventures.
quality & engineering
Hanse have a reputation for building strong, safe cruising yachts and the 388 continues this tradition. Under sail you can feel the strength and stiffness of the hand-built hull which will reassure you when enjoying your time out on the water.
Ease of handling
The Hanse 388 is an ideal boat for short handed sailing, with all lines led to the helmsman there is no need to leave the wheel, from slipping your lines until you return to your berth. With great manoeuvrability it is a dream to handle within the marina, especially when fitted with a bow-thruster. Single-handed sailing does not need to be overwhelming in this 38' yacht.
