Brand new for 2011/12, the latest version of the new 400 benefits from a number of tweaks and improvements.
Now available with twin wheel steering as standard and an optional bathing platform to close the transom in. It is out on the water that the new 400 really excels.
Sporting the same hull as her predecessor she now benefits from the new T speed keel, which both improves stability and her ability track through the water with minimal intervention from the helm. Despite being fast her main assets are her stability and feeling of safety when onboard.
As you would expect from Hanse she is built to the bombproof standards that they have built a reputation for and beautifully easy to handle.
Thanks to the clever cockpit locker orientation the dedicated liferaft locker also means that the port aft cabin is cavernous and only slightly smaller than the owners cabin in the forepeak.
The 400 has superb flexibility with regard to layout below. You have the choice of single or twin heads, 2 or 3 cabins, saloon configurations etc and the space to use is fantastic for a 40 footer.
