11 May 2010Hanse have recently announced that they will be producing their 2010 model range using the hugely beneficial epoxy based vinylester construction as STANDARD.
Replacing the commonly used polyester resin with the hugely beneficial epoxy based vinylester has to be one of the biggest steps forward for a boat builder in the last 10 years.
The new resin will add significant strength and stiffness to the award winning range of yachts, which until now has been a prohibitively expensive improvement.
Not only will the hulls benefit from significantly improved strength and stiffness there is also the not inconsiderable benefit of the improved osmosis prevention too.
The full epoxy construction with closed cell foam sandwich is still available as standard on the 630e and as an option on the 470 and 545.
This is now another reason why Hanse are the most popular quality cruising yacht in the UK.
