Hanse design and build yachts with a timeless elegance, influenced by the style of the classic sailing yachts originating from the American East Coast.
Hanse Yachts differentiate themselves from other European yacht builders - our boats are built by sailors for sailors. To us, great sailing performance is just as important as aesthetics and interior design.
Our yachts are quick, but different from other boats of this genre. They are extremely easy to sail and without modifications, easily controlled singled-handed. To help in this task our boats come equipped with a fully battened mainsail, easy-reefing system and a roller furling self-tacking jib. Hanse Yachts are designed so that a large overlapping genoa is not required.
We ensure that in the construction of our boats the floor frame and keel mounts are larger than necessary so that damage will be minimised even in the event of a large impact. On the larger models (470e & 540e) the keel is made from two parts, so that even if the keel is damaged a large part of the force is dissipated. We use an advanced gelcoat for maximum UV resistance. We even install wiring conduits and a full wiring loom to make later fitment of electronic extras an easy task.
The aesthetic, timeless elegance of Hanse Yachts has been developed and designed by renowned naval architects Judel/Vrolijk. They have helped us to produce yachts that offer plenty of space below decks and yet are attractive, quick, safe and easy to sail.
